Correct spelling of our state Loregon The L for loser! Still suffers from agency incompetence and ignorance. Our disappearing fisheries are a great example and so is Oregon lack of clean water in our bays and rivers. Careful where your dog drinks it's water in Oregon. Dead dogs don't lie.

SETTING THE STANDARD FOR WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AT ODFW
Setting the standard for wildlife management in Oregon has achieved a new low by Killing ravens to save sage grouse in Eastern Oregon is a flawed plan, advocates say By Kale Williams | Posted May 21, 2019 at 07:51 AM | Updated May 21, 2019 at 12:45 PM
A plan by state wildlife officials to kill more than 1,000 ravens in Eastern Oregon to help the beleaguered greater sage grouse is flawed, environmental advocates say, and could end up doing more harm than good.
In 2018, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife applied for permits to kill up to 500 ravens per year over a three-year period in Baker County. According to some studies, ravens prey upon the eggs of the greater sage grouse, one of the numerous threats the sage grouse faces.
But the plan to kill the ravens, by placing poisoned chicken eggs in bait boxes, is the wrong way to help the sage grouse, said Bob Sallinger, conservation director at the Portland Audubon Society. CLICK ON THE COMMENT IN RED TO READ THE WHOLE STORY.
