DEQ fines aluminum recycler $1.3 million for air quality violations
Penalty is second largest ever issued by DEQ and largest related to air quality
The Dalles, Ore.—The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued a $1,296,885 penalty Wednesday to Hydro Extrusion USA LLC for multiple air quality permit violations at its aluminum recycling facility in The Dalles.
The fine is the largest air quality penalty ever issued by DEQ, which also regulates land and water quality in Oregon.

How come our Senator Arnie Roblan refuses to stop burn barrels in the cities of Coos County and Curry County? Politics override human health concerns. It is my understanding the only way the burn barrels can be stopped if someone gives a large campaign donation to our elected officials.
The industrial logging slash burners don't want to be singled out for causing health effects and so it continues.
