My Friend, South and i speaks from our Hearts when discussing these issues. The dangerous game we play with class B sewage plants, untreated storm water, agriculture runoff and sewage spills. As the planet warms the cause and effect are becoming more evident. So where are Oregon's leaders for clean water? We all lose playing Russian Roulette with clean rivers and streams. Unintended consequences of doing the same thing expecting different results.

The main difference between Class B and Class A sewage plant. Class A do not discharge treated waste water into rivers or streams. Class A discharge using sprinklers and apply it to the land. This allows plants and soil microbes to further process waste water. DEQ recommended that Oregon require Class A 60 years ago under Republican Gov Tom McCall. What are we waiting for...extinction and water unfit for life?
Yes there has been some progress. Phosphates were banned in 90's in laundry soap. We still allow phosphates in dish washer soaps. Clean water should be right not an after thought.
