Falls City fined $3,507 for not testing sewage released to Little Luckiamute River
Tracy Loew, Statesman Journal
Oregon environmental regulators have fined Falls City $3,507 for violating its pollution permit at its sewage treatment plant.
The city discharges treated wastewater from the plant, located four miles east of Highway 22, to the Little Luckiamute River. The permit requires it to regularly monitor its effluent for various pollutant, including E. coli.
The city failed to monitor its discharge 33 times between 2016 and 2018, the state Department of Environmental Quality wrote in its penalty order.
By failing to comply with its permit, the city created a risk that inadequately treated and tested wastewater would affect water quality, DEQ said.

When push comes to shove on sewage spills Oregon's municipalities with the support of Oreg's State Agencies shove pollution right up our ass and down our throats. fining Fall City 3500 bubks is Bullshit... The total fine cost the city much less than the cost testing the sewage discharged into the Little Luckymute River... This is completely unacceptable considering Oregon' elected officials are taking millions in CAMPAIGN BRIBES USED TO BUY MILLION DOLLAR ESTATES WHILE THE REST OF US SWEAT BLOOD...TRYING TO FEED OUR FAMILIES...
